About me
I am a jeweller since 2005. Graduated from the École de joaillerie de Montréal, I received the award of excellence of my class. I also won second place for the Triennial of excellence for graduates in Fine Crafts in 2006 and I was a finalist for the François-Houdé award in 2007. In 2015, I was awarded with the Ovations Vaudreuil-Soulanges prize in my the category.
I use textures and movements to create delicate and feminine sterling silver jewellery with an edgy style.
Very involved in the community, I was the vice-president of the Métiers d'art Métissés collective with whom I organized more than 20 exhibitions and events for the emerging fine crafts artists of Quebec and Canada.
I was also a member of the Board of directors of the Quebec Crafts Council from 2011 to 2015.
Artist’s statement
Movement attracts me, my creation is based on joining pieces together, allowing freedom of movement. Movement, fluidity, a sound.
Texture inspires me, as much by the play of materials, surface treatment or by its finish, I give my jewelry a soul. Character, emotion and contrast.
My influence comes from the roots of jewelry making. The rough. I am fascinated by antique jewelry, ancient civilizations, simple shapes and natural stones. These are the inexhaustible sources of my creation that I transform with a contemporary twist to recreate in my own way, to my vision, a piece of art, a wearable jewelry.
Someone once told me : you cannot reinvent jewelry, but you can alter it.
